About

I ran the business.
I saw the gap.
Then I built the fix.

I started knocking doors. Neighborhoods after every storm, talking to homeowners before the adjuster showed up. Learned the whole process from the ground up — what adjusters write, what they skip, and what most contractors never bother to fight for.

Eventually I stopped working for someone else and opened my own roofing company. Ran crews, managed jobs from inspection to final, dealt with carriers directly. And every single week I watched good money walk out the door because the supplement process is a grind nobody wants to do. Two hours of digging through Xactimate printouts at 10pm to maybe recover $800. Sometimes it worked. A lot of times it didn't.

The problem isn't that contractors are bad at supplements. It's that supplements require a different skill set than roofing — you need to know IRC code, manufacturer installation specs, and exactly how to cite each item so the carrier can't kick it back. Most guys running crews don't have time to become experts in that too.

I built Tectum to be the supplement writer you never had. Upload the estimate, get back a complete package — every missed item, every code citation, every dollar accounted for. Ready to send.

“I've been on the roof, knocked the door, and sat across from the adjuster. I know exactly where the money gets left behind. That's what Tectum is built to recover.”

If you're running a roofing company and tired of leaving $2,000–$5,000 on the table per claim, this was built for you. Not for adjusters. Not for carriers. For the contractor who does the work and deserves to get paid for all of it.
